A Walk In The Snow

Snow is something we don't get a whole lot in Georgia, so when it decides to appear I soak it all in.

If you look up at the snow falling, it is as if time is standing still. In that moment there is nothing but tiny, white flakes washing over the Earth.

Snow can make even the dullest landscape absolutely beautiful. It makes everything light and glorious.

The Earth is filled with dirt and other blemishes we don't typically think of as pretty. Snow covers in and turns it into a wonderland. We stain the snow with our footprints revealing the dirt and grim again. We make this lovely scene into a mess. Then, a fresh snow falls making it white and lovely again. This paints a beautiful picture of Christ's redeeming love. He covers us daily with love and forgiveness. Daily, we trample through His gift and leave traces of our sin. He comes and washes us clean again.

I challenge you to take a walk in the snow and praise the One who has paid our debt allowing us to walk in life together with Him.

"Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow".
